Nexus Versa is a research, development and delivery company working where construction meets technology. We research and develop new materials, build monitoring hardware and software, analyse structures, and write the standards and systems that make doing the job properly the easy option.
Where the right tool does not exist, we build it.
No sales team, no hand-off. You speak to the people who will do the work, we tell you honestly what is possible, and you decide from there.
Construction knows its problems. Technology knows how to solve them. Very few teams speak both languages. These are the capabilities we bring to every project and every product we build.
CFRP strengthening developed from first principles: samples gathered and tested, pull-off trials on real panels, load tests and a system taken through to UK production.
Our own sensor hardware and closed, encrypted networks reporting deflection, strain, vibration, crack movement and environment in real time, with alerts when thresholds are crossed.
Concrete scanning, GPR and non-destructive testing, and the harder part: interpreting the data, stating its limits and turning it into decisions an engineer can rely on.
A CRM and compliance platform built for construction and NDT, mobile apps for crews and managers, websites and the internal tools that turn raw site data into answers.
We wrote the UK's only dedicated concrete scanning standard and the competence framework behind it, because the industry needed a benchmark and nobody else had set one.
Surveys, testing and remediation on live sites, from rail, highways and water assets to listed buildings, with drone and ROV access where people cannot safely go.
Most barriers in construction are not technical. They are habits, gaps between trades, and tools that were never built for the people using them. Four rules keep us honest.
Our monitoring hardware, analysis software, apps and compliance platform were all built in-house. When something does not exist, we make it rather than working around it.
Samples tested, trials run on real panels, systems proven on live sites. If it cannot be measured or verified, it does not go into the method, the product or the report.
We say what a method, a survey or a piece of software can and cannot do before you rely on it. Limits that are not declared are limits that get ignored.
The people who scope the work are the people who deliver it. Nothing is passed down the line once the contract is signed.
The team is led by Neil Smuts MCIOB MInstNDT FRCSP, Technical Director and Co-Owner. Neil spent seventeen years advising structural engineers, architects and specialist repair contractors across the UK, South Africa and Malta, then took technical direction of a UK structural repairs firm working on infrastructure and listed buildings.
He sets the technical direction across everything we do, from site diagnostics to the software and apps we build, and brings the same rule to all of it: understand the real problem on site before building the answer.
Whether it is a structure you are not sure about, a compliance process your team is fighting, or an app or platform that does not exist yet, the first step is a conversation.
